The Vita Coco Community Foundation is an independent, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a vision to protect and sustain the coconut industry for generations to come. It was founded by The Vita Coco Company, Inc. in 2023.

Why Coconut Communities

Coconut farming supports millions of farmers and their families worldwide and fuels a wide range of global industries, from food and beverages to beauty, textiles, and more. Yet, these communities can face mounting challenges: aging trees that produce fewer coconuts each year, extreme weather events, limited access to training and resources, and market volatility.

Our mission is to increase coconut communities’ access to economic opportunity by providing the tools and training they need to thrive. Farmers are the heart of the coconut industry. When they flourish, the whole ecosystem flourishes.
