Accelerating STEM Education in Brazil

The Challenge

In some regions of Brazil, local workers may experience limited access to technical education or career advancement opportunities. Fewer pathways to skilled employment can affect both their economic advancement and the local coconut and beverage manufacturing business as a whole.

Our Approach

To help address this gap, we helped develop the SEMEAR Project in 2024, a scholarship program designed to equip local workers with high-level technical skills. Alongside our regional partners, this program aims to provide training for participants to earn associate degrees as maintenance operators and electromechanical technicians, opening new career pathways and helping families increase their household income.

The Results
  • 40+

    students awarded scholarships

  • 25+

students hired or promoted through the program
